Fitting it all in

Recently, I have had a few people comment on how I manage to fit everything in.
I work 5 days a week, have 3 children along with their various afterschool activities, as well as working on my now 4th Novel.
Well this… this is how. Sitting in the middle of a field, while my children are competing in their sports around me, I manage to fit in a few lines.
It isn’t just here: I am quite often found in car parks in my car while I wait for another of my children’s sports to finish; or in a field as the case may be; or sometimes I sky off, leaving my partner with the children for an hour and sit in a coffee shop; or more often then not at work, sitting in the staff room when I get a spare 15 mins.
Writing, for me is my wind down, it helps me regulate and takes me to my happy place. When you find something like that, it no longer becomes a chore, and I find myself looking forward to those quiet times where I can just sit and do what I love. (Even though my fingers are currently frozen from the cold as I type!)
So change your mind set, become adaptive, and you’ll be surprised how much time you can create!
